Awards Director:
This person is responsible for handling awards such as trophies and medals. He/she would get bids for these awards, get Board approval, order the awards and have them in the hands of the coaches before the end of the recreational season. Organizational skills are important. He/she must attend monthly board meetings during March, April and May. This position will take approximately 10 hours.

Background Check Manager:
All RASA coaches are volunteers and they are all required to have a background check done. The background check cannot be more than one year old as of April 15 of the year they are coaching. This person is the one responsible for making sure that all of the background checks. This manager maintains a book with all of the background checks and coaches code of conducts inside. The job is mainly a February through April job and takes a total of about 10 hours per month. This person needs to work very closely with the Director of Coaches and must attend RASA monthly meetings from February through April or until all background checks are done.

Concession Stand Director:
This person is in charge of putting a program together for establishing and managing RASA’s concession stand. The stand will be open during Community League games, Sunday Select games and tournaments. He/she will be responsible for ordering supplies and keeping track of inventory for the concession stand. He/she will also be responsible for all money that is spent and taken in as well as reporting this to the treasurer. This person must attend all monthly RASA Board Meetings.

Equipment Director:
This person insures that each team has appropriate equipment for spring/fall league play. He/she is also responsible for the handout and collection of all equipment at the beginning and end of each season. He/she needs to inventory and buy new equipment as needed. This person needs to provide cost quotes for approval before purchasing equipment. He/she must attend all RASA Board meetings. This job will take approximately 40 hours.

Fall Ball Director:
This person is responsible for setting the dates, finding coaches, and putting together the fall ball program and attending registrations for fall ball. When this person receives the registration spreadsheet from the registration chairperson, they will determine how many teams there will be for each group (Stars, Suns and Vigs). This person needs to work closely with the Master Scheduler to make sure that fields are available. He/she needs to work with the field preparation director to make sure that fields are ready and playable. He/she must communicate with the uniform chairperson and the Vigs director. He/she shall make contact with other communities for possible playing dates with them. Most of this work will take place in August and will take approximately 20 hours. This person must attend June-September RASA Board meetings.

Fund Raising Chairperson:
The primary purpose of this position is to help RASA find ways to raise money. Lottery ticket sales and hot dog sales are examples of things we have done in the past. The Board of Directors is open to ideas for new ways to raise money. This Chairperson will be responsible for buying the candy for registration. There will be a need for committees to help carry out the various fund raising activities. He/she is responsible for ordering and selling spirit wear as well as managing this inventory. He/she must attend all monthly RASA Board Meetings. This position would require approximately 40 hours of volunteer work throughout the year.

Game Scheduler:
This person is responsible for creating the schedule for all spring and fall Community League games. This position could be handled by two different people; one for the spring and one for the fall. He/she must work with Vig’s to make sure there are fields available for their use. RASA provides a computerized program for this job. The spring schedule must be done in March because it must be completed by April 1. He/she must also be available during the season to make adjustments due to cancellations. The fall schedule work is done in August because it must be completed by Sept. 1. A person with reasonable computer skills can complete this job in about 10 hours and spend maybe 30 minutes for adjustments as needed. The spring person must attend January thru May RASA Board Meetings. The fall person must attend August-October RASA Board Meetings. Both must report their work to the Veterans’ Park Scheduler.

Home Run Derby Coordinator:
This person is responsible for running the Home Run Derby during the Spring Season. It involves getting volunteers for each event throughout the day of the event. It also involves communicating with the trophy chairperson for awards for each event. The person will need to attend meetings for the months of March thru May.

Interleague coordinator:
This person is responsible for the arrangements between RASA and other communities for games between them and our Minors and Majors. This may include Upper Perk, Southern Lehigh and any other organization in the spring and the fall. He/she must coordinate game schedules with the division managers, the game scheduler and the master scheduler.

Picture Director:
This person works with the Board of Directors to set a date for pictures for the spring teams. He/she makes arrangements with the photographer, picks up all forms and delivers them to each team. This person must attend picture day and collect all money for pictures. He/she picks up the pictures when done and distributes them to the coaches of the teams. He/she is responsible for providing the sponsorship director with the plaques for distribution. This person must attend Jan-May monthly RASA Board meetings. The job should take approximately 20 hours.

RASA/Richland Township Liaison:
This person will represent RASA at Richland Township meetings. They will be responsible for communication between RASA and the township. They will also be responsible for attending RASA Board of Director’s meetings as a voting member of the Board of Directors.

Safety Manager:
This person is responsible for making sure all equipment and facilities are safe. They also get bids for insurance to obtain the best insurance coverage at the most reasonable cost. These bids will be present to the Board for discussion and a vote. He/she needs to provide schools and Richland Township with copies of our policy. This job would be done in December and would be presented to the Board by the end of January. He/she will attend the December and January Board Meetings. The job should take approximately 10 hours.

Sponsorships:
This person’s duties are to find and follow up with local businesses to sponsor our teams at the Community League and VIG’s levels. Once sponsor pictures arrive, this person should deliver the sponsor plaques to the sponsors. Ideally, we should have the same number of sponsors as we have teams. This person makes contact through letters, phone calls and face-to-face visits with potential sponsors. The job is done during the months of January and February and about 20 hours of time. The director must attend Dec.-Mar. RASA Board Meeting to provide an update on the status of finding sponsors.

Spring Ball Chairperson:
This person is responsible for overseeing the coordination of the Spring recreational program. Several other positions fall under the direction of this person. This includes game scheduler, uniform chairperson, umpire director, registration chairperson, equipment director, awards director and team mom coordinator. The main purpose of this position is to make sure that everyone else is doing their job in a timely manner. This person also makes the arrangements for the playoffs for Minors and Majors. A good way to do this job would be to put a timeline together with beginning dates and deadlines. He/she must attend all monthly RASA Board Meetings.

Travel Team Director:
This person attends all RASA meetings to provide updates on all RASA travel teams. He/she is responsible for the following: finding coaches for travel teams, setting try-out dates, advertising with local newspapers and EZTEAMZ, etc. He/she is responsible to report to RASA Board of Directors on a monthly basis the financial status of each travel team. He/she will need to work with the Tournament Director on tournaments.

Uniform Chairperson:
This person is responsible for ordering uniforms for all Community League and Vig’s teams for both fall and spring seasons. Care must be taken to make sure that uniforms for spring are completed by April 5 and for fall ball by August 31. The person must present a cost quote to the board by January 1 and August 1 respectively. Correct sponsor names need to be printed on the back of each uniform along with players’ number. The RASA logo goes on the front of each uniform. Careful attention must be given to provide appropriate sizes for each age group. This job requires approximately 20 hours in the spring and 10 hours in the fall and must attend all monthly RASA Board Meetings.

Umpire Director:
This person is responsible for developing a program that provides volunteer umpires for RASA Minors and Majors. This includes recruiting umpires, creating an umpires list, training and scheduling umpires. This person is also responsible for making contacts with outside umpire contractors in the event that RASA does not have enough volunteers. This person would assure that volunteer umpires follow the rules of ASA. This job would be done from March through June. The recruiting phase should take approximately 20 hours, the training phase should take approximately 20 hours and the scheduling phase should take about 10 hours. The person must attend monthly RASA Board Meetings.

Veterans’ Park Manager:
This person is responsible for managing the upkeep of Veteran’s Park. This includes ensuring that netting and padding for backstops are in place in the spring and taken down in the fall. They will continue to work with Richland Township to maintain and improve the facility. This is an ongoing job and the person must attend monthly RASA Board Meetings.

VIGS Coordinator:
This person will represent RASA at VIGS meetings. They will be responsible for communications between RASA and the VIGS. They will also be responsible for attending RASA Board of Director's meetings as a voting member of the Board of Directors.

Webmaster:
This person is responsible for building RASA’s web site. Once it is built, the person is responsible maintaining up to date accurate information. Fees for hosting and domain name are paid by RASA.

Women’s League Director:
This person is responsible for coordinating the women’s league that runs from June until August. He/she must be very careful with scheduling so that it doesn’t interfere with community league or tournaments and must work closely with the Veterans’ Park Master Scheduler. The yearly program and fees must established by the end of January.

Opening Day Coordinator:
This person is responsible for coordinating RASA'S Opening Day Celebration in April. He/she must find volunteers to help organize the festivities of Opening Day weekend.
