What is 10U and 12U Sunday Select?
Sunday Select is an opportunity for the girls in our Minors and Majors to play on an All-Star Team in games against other community leagues. The age limits follow the same age limits that our Minors and Majors follow. The games are typically played on Sundays as double headers. Having said that, there are times when these are single games and times when the games are played on Saturdays. In order to be eligible to participate on a Sunday Select team, the girl must play in the Spring Rec league. Unlike the rec league, girls on these teams are chosen after trying out for the team.
Players get a separate uniform for Sunday Select and there is an additional fee ($55) for being on the team. In most cases the teams have about 12-15 players on them. After the team is chosen, the team does have indoor practice.

The games start in late April and run until the end of June. There are usually about 6-8 weekends of regular season games and then a Sunday Select tournament at the end of the season.
There is more of a commitment and more of a challenge to being on these teams than in the rec league. This is due to the fact that players must try out to make the team. Games include weekend commitment during the Spring and indoor evening practices during the Winter. This is also a step up in level of competition and in learning from the level of the rec league. The level of commitment is not nearly as much as would be required of a Travel team.
